Leave it to Nicolo to celebrate his birthday with style: he got chicken pox! The kid has absolutely no justice in his timing. Mico and I have been planning industriously for his month-long birthday "shanana", as Mico put it, including our much-awaited trip to Ark Avilon Zoo. We also planned on dropping by M/V Doulos, the floating bookstore docked at Roxas Blvd., but that will have to wait another couple of years because it’ll already be steering elsewhere by the time we can bail Nico out of his house-arrest.
Nevertheless, we couldn’t let his day pass without doing something outdoors as a family. We had dinner at the least populated place at the mall, Don Henrico’s, and bought him cake as well.
The first two pockmarks are visible on the photos… right smack on his forehead.
